ROJAS & ASOCIADOS S.A. is an innovative consulting firm, focused on the Latin-American mining market. Our core business is Geology, with supplementary areas of Business Management and Corporate Image.
With offices in Argentina and Chile, a well-trained staff of 30, we undertake comprehensive projects from planning to execution. Our clients are mining companies, mining services companies, associations and other firms affiliated with mining.
Our team is formed by professionals and technicians with long experience
in the generation and direction of mining projects; an ample knowledge of
the Andean geology and fieldwork skills.
Exploration Our professionals have extensive experience in geochemistry, environment, design and management of exploration projects, structural geology, petrology, volcanology and economic geology. We focus on precious metals porphyries and epithermal deposits. We use effective methods to present information regarding each job, and use a variety of media for reporting to our clients.
Evaluation We assess projects on behalf of our clients, to advise them regarding their geological interest and viability. The evaluation usually includes the technical aspects of an exploration project, ore reserve estimation and additional exploration stages, and can lead to outsourcing with customized solutions. Several of our professionals have participated in the definition of important projects.
Generation We collaborate with our clients in generative exploration. With each company ’s target in mind, we evaluate submittals or propose options from our database of third-party properties. If sufficient options are not available, we tap into our network of contacts to gather more information.
We undertake projects from prospecting to advanced exploration, coordinating technical geological tasks as well as field logistics, according to our clients ’ policies.
Exploration We have the ability of adapting to a wide range of client ’s needs. From Puna to Patagonia, in Argentina, as well as Chile and other South American countries, we have planned and conducted prospecting, drilling and other advanced exploration projects, providing the required human resources and equipment. Our goal is cost-effective exploration, based on the formation of flexible teams suited to each project ’s requirements, the close supervision of contractors and state-of-the-art technology.
Logistics Our activities are fully supported by our operations
staff. They are trained in safety and environment policies, inventory management, logistics theory and practice.
Their main focus is to coordinate closely the location and status of all personnel and equipment in each project, providing fast solutions to every demand, using efficient telecommunication
techniques and tools.
Technology We take advantage of the latest software and hardware in all exploration activities, as
a part of our integral service concept. Our personnel are trained in GIS, satellite imagery and geographic information, digitizing and other techniques. We use Surpac Vision™ extensively for our projects. This modelling software integrates data gathered onsite and allows 3D display of the ore body and drill holes, optimizing time and resources. We are also representatives of this powerful tool. The system has applications in each stage of mining production, ore reserve estimation, planning, production and environmental restoration.
