    Xstrata Nickel Expanded the Inferred Resources at the Raglan Mine,Quebec,Canada,by Adding an Estimated4.5Million Tonnes,up From the2Million Tonnes of Resources Previously Announced. in August 2007Xstrata Nickel Announced Plans to Increase Mine Production at Raglan to Over two Million Tonnes of Ore PER Annum. Work is Currently Under way to Increase Production to1.3Million Tonnes PER Annum by the END of 2008and Additional Infrastructure is Expected to be Implemented to Allow a Further Expansion to Reach1.5Million Tonnes by 2011and Potentially Double Current Production by 2013. After the Expansion,Raglan Will be one of the Largest Nickel Mines in the World.

    Falconbridge Limited Today Announced the Preliminary Results of an Ongoing Exploration Program at its Raglan Nickel Operations in Northern Quebec And Identified the Next Core Mining Area. Zone5-8, Which at Dec/04 HAD Proven and Probable Mineral Reserves Totalling 747,700 Tonnes Grading3.01 % NI ,0. 81% CU ,0.06 % CO ,0. 87G/T PT and2. 51G/T PD is Located5KM East of the Operating Katinniq Mill and Concentrator. While a Complete Assessment of the Resources at Zone5-8Will not be Available Until After the Diamond-Drill Program is Completed in Early October,a Preliminary Estimate Based on Results to Date Indicate That a Minimum of1.8Million Tonnes of Inferred Resources Grading3.3% NI Will be Added to Zone5-8as a Result of the 2005Program. the Drill Program Will Continue With Four Drills for the Remainder of the Season and Will be Accelerated in 2006to More Fully Delineate and Upgrade the Resources to Indicated and Measured Categories in Support of Completing the Feasibility Study and Subsequent Mine Planning.
