July 3, 2009 Equinox Minerals announced its preliminary production statistics for the quarter ended June 30, 2009 (“Q2-2009”) from its Lumwana Copper Project in Zambia. During this period, the Lumwana mine was still in the ramp up phase for both the mine and process plant operations. From 3,030,352 tonnes of ore mined, contained 24,414 tonnes of copper in concentrate produced at a grade of 39.1% copper.

June 30, 2009 Labrador Iron Mines Holdings announced that the 2009 field work season is underway at its Schefferville iron ore project in Western Labrador, Canada. The program is focused on mine planning for production start-up targeted for mid-2010. The 2009 program which commenced on June 3, 2009 will comprise a total of 6,000 metres of drilling, including some infill drilling identified from the 2008 program. In addition, a 3,000 metre trenching and sampling program will be carried out in conjunction on these areas to determine the width of the various mineralized zones.
July 3, 2009 Gryphon Minerals announced reverse circulation and diamond drilling program have recommenced at the company’s flagship Banfora gold project in Burkina Faso, West Africa. Recent rock chip results including 53.1g/t Au, 21.2g/t Au, 14.3g/t Au have
highlighted mineralisation up to 3000 meters along strike of the current resource.
