Emerging miner Macmin Silver believes an anticipated surge in silver prices will underpin the development of its new mine in Queensland's south-west. Australian Associated Press reports Macmin chairman Bob McNeil as saying that 40% of the company's open pit silver mine at Twin Hills, near Texas, was complete. It is expected to open in six months. Mr McNeil said Australia's only dedicated silver mine should be producing around 2.5 million ounces by the end of the year with the capacity to produce 3.5 million ounces.
