RIO TINTO
Rio Tinto Ltd has flagged possible disruptions to Chinese demand for Australian minerals, but believes that over longer term the Asian giant's appetite will continue to be insatiable, reports Australian Associated Press. Rio Tinto iron ore chief executive Sam Walsh told an industry briefing in Perth there were fears that China would falter, following the volatility in the global market place since May, but he did not believe this would occur.
