Beaconsfield Gold NL expects mining to restart at its troubled Tasmanian mine this month, but is unsure when it will be able to access the area where a rockfall killed one miner and trapped two others earlier this year, reports Australian Associated Press. Chief executive Bill Colvin said first operations will not be aiming for gold. "The initial mining won't be for any recovery of gold at all, it will be development of a tunnel to open up deeper areas of the mine," he said.
