Partial Geology report on Claims named Badger Claims, now referred as Barite One.

Location SE/4 S1, T44N, R57E; in the Humboldt National Forest. Accessible by road going south-southwestward from the Jarbridge road. The Badger Group of four claims developed by exploration by bulldozing and drilling in an area about 50 M or 160 feet in diameter. The type of deposit is vein.

Limestone is present in part of the explored area and crops out extensively on the ridge to the north. Near the barite vein the limestone contains abundant masses, streaks and veinlets of coarse grained white calcite In the southeastern-most 6M (20) ft), the vein has bold outcrops and the adjacent rocks are chert and claystone. The vein is nearly vertical and about 305 m (12 fT) thick. Northeast of the main vein in the eastern end of the explored area , light gray coarse grained barite makes up about one half of the volume in this zone. In the main vein the barite is light grey and fine grained or is white and coarse grained. The barite rich materials contain small amounts of quartz and mica. Samples analyzed recently indicated 94 to 96 percent purity.
