Cobalt mining district ; Accessible by paved and graded roads from North Fork. Airport facility at Salmon.
Geology: Located in the ''Yellowjacket'' ore zone which extends through the ''Blackbird'' Cobalt mining district several miles S.E. Ore body hosted by modestly dipping band of quartz-garnet gneiss. Gneiss is broken by cross faults of up to 50 ft displacement, but is otherwise undisturbed.
Mineralization: Copper and other sulfides containing Co hosted by modestly dipping band of quartz-garnet gneiss.

~2000 ft of drift on main level, and 600 ft on upper level. Main level has 25 lb rail to end of drift, and air system. Witte DC generator plant provides electric.
Several hundred tons sold to Anaconda Company and several hundred tons custom milled.
Results: Copper content ranges from 0.5 to 5%; Cobalt content ranges from a trace to 0.5% Evaluations of the economics and ore reserves indicates a potential in-situ ore reserve of 1.27 million tons averaging 1.30 % Cu, 0.20 % Co, 0.015 oz/ton Au, and 0.30 oz/ton Au.
