Gold: "Within the area covered by the project, gold deposits occur. From 1936 - 1956, the mine produced 250 000 ounces of both gold and silver. There is therefore good potential for discovering further mineralized reefs with in the property"
Agro-minerals: "The region is also known for phosphate deposits associated with carbonates. Phosphate carbonates with high phosphorous concentrations occur along the region. Phosphorous concentrations of primary carbonatite range from 3 % to 6 % P2O5 in the Ca-rich carbonatite phase, to 3 % P2O5 in the Mg carbonatite phase and to 4 % P2O5 in the Fe rich carbonatite phase. Several explorations pits in residual soils revealed phosphate concentrations of 12 - 20 % P2O5 to a depth of more than 5m"
Coal"Estimated total reserve of about 10 000 000 tonnes in area 1 and 7 700 000 tons in area 2. The coal reserves in area 3 has been estimated at 53 000 000 tons. Generally, the coal is a high volatile bituminous variety with high ash yields and calorific values of 6000 - 16 000 K/Kg. The sulfur content is high in most cases"
Limestone: Limestone deposits are common within the lacustrine calcareous marl series of the area sediments. Limestone beds up to 1m thick are common in the area and in places constitute about 10 % of the calcareous series. The limestone has been used in small scale lime production and there is still potential for production using the coal found in the area as a source of energy"
Zeolite: "Natural Zeolites occur in the area. About 84 000 tons have been reported and is suitable for agricultural and horticulture applications in soil amelioration"
Salt: Sodium chloride is produced at the area.
Gemstones: "A variety of gemstones occur in the area, the most notable being the emerald deposists
