Rainbow Lake REEThe Rainbow REE Property is located about 120 km west of the City of Thunder Bay, Ontario, in Moss Township. A newly-staked group of forty mining claim units covers a large, unexplored syenite complex. Road access and infrastructure are excellent. An average analysis of the first nine indiscriminate weathered grab samples spread over the claim group returns over one kilogram per ton TREO with up to 2.85% P2O5 and 3-4 % K2O. Y, Zr and Ta are also present in trace amounts. An historic gold showing is located along the edge of the syenite. Strike length potential of the syenite complex is 5-10 km. There is room for expansion to the north and northeast.
The claim group lies along the “Boundary Fault Zone” between Quetico metasediments to the north and a mafic to felsic Archean metavolcanic belt to the south. Contiguous south of the claim group, Coventree Resources PTY of Australia is exploring the Ardeen Mine Property optioned from Pele Mountain Resources. Several kilometers southeast lies Moss Lake Gold’s Snodgrass Lake gold deposit (80 Mt @ 1.1 g/t Au). Along the same fault zone south east lies the Freewest high grade LaRose gold property. The Rainbow Property could host extensions of both of the proven gold zones.
