El Cajoncito mine has gold values in the placer, it is located about 65 miles to the north of the resort town of Mazatlan next the highway. This property has and old exploration work made by EL Consejo de Recursos Minerales (another governmental mining agency from Mexico), this study also found a mineral formation with 1 yard in width and 9 grams of gold per metric tonne.
