The Spring Property consists of 23 unpatented mining claims is located in the Cedar Mountains in un-surveyed Mineral County, Nevada. The property lies approximately 21 miles south of Gabbs, Nevada. The property covers Sediment hosted gold and skarn/intrusive/sediment contact hosted gold.

Exploration History: Utah International staked the property in 1982. Their work consisted of geologic mapping, rock and soil sampling and 21 drill holes. The best intercept was 25 feet @ 0.109 opt gold. Canyon Resources Corp. entered into a joint venture with Utah and drilled 38 holes. Their best intercept was 10 feet @ 0.165 opt gold. American Consolidated drilled three holes in1989 before dropping the property. Nevada Mine Properties staked the property in 1992 and did only minor work on the property before the claims were subsequently quitclaimed to Columbus Gold. In May and June of 2007 the property was re-mapped and sampled by Cordex.

Geology and Mineralization: The property covers northwest striking, southwest dipping Triassic Luning Formation consisting of thick-bedded limestone and local siltstone which have been invaded by Cretaceous granodiorite and younger andesite and quartz porphyry dikes. The thick-bedded Luning carbonates have locally been altered along bedding to jasperoid which contains significant to ore-grade gold. Local skarn development occurs along the limestone-granodiorite contact in the southeasterly portion of the property. These targets have been extensively prospected in the past but have yet to be drill tested.

Target: At least three targets remain to be tested: Extensions of the known mineralization to the northwest in an area underlain by more favorable siltstone (recent samples taken in this area contain anomalous to significant gold), skarn zones along the southeastern margins of the property and the sediment/ intrusive contact at depth in the central zone and to the northwest.
