Exploration Status:

The Stage Property consists of thirteen unpatented mining claims is located approximately sixty miles north-northeast of Ely, Nevada, just to the east of Schellbourne Pass in the Schell Creek Range. The property covers sediment hosted/structure hosted precious metal mineralization.

Exploration History: Little is known about pre-Cordex exploration. A few pits and small (?) adits attest to early mining and exploration particularly on a patented claim just to the south and west of the Cordex claim block. Little evidence of more recent exploration was found.
Cordex acquired the property in 2007 and has subsequently completed geologic mapping and limited rock chip sampling.

Geology and Mineralization: The area is underlain by Cambrian to Mississippian sedimentary rock, which consist of, from oldest to youngest, Hamburg Limestone, Dunderburg Shale, Windfall Formation and Chainman Shale. The sediments generally strike to the west and have shallow dips to the south but attitudes vary considerably due to extensive faulting in the area. Small dikes of unknown age occur locally and appear to be associated with northerly trending structures.

A down-dropped fault wedge (graben) of Hamburg to Windfall sediments occurs at the south-central margin of the property. Precious metals are hosted in jasperoid and silicified gossan formed along faults and favorable bedding horizons within this fault wedge. Gold and silver values as high as 0.025 opt and 6.4 opt respectively occur in strongly altered rock along the northerly trending, western boundary fault.

Targets: Potential ore zones in favorable host rocks at depth along feeder structures within the wedge-shaped graben are the primary target concepts developed to date. Additional sampling in areas of altered rock elsewhere on the property may define other targets.
