The Moly Rose Claims are located near the headwaters of Rosenthal Creek, 76 km north or Hazelton and 131 km northeast of Kitsault, British Columbia. The claims were staked to cover the source rocks of highly anomalous molybdenum and copper in regional stream sediment samples. The mineralization was discovered in 1969, and only surface reconnaissance-scale work has been performed to date, last in 1978. Old logging roads reach to within 15 km of the property.

Granodiorite of the Cretaceous Bulkley Plutonic Suite on the east side of the property contains anomalous Moly and Copper values over a 1000 x 500 m area. The Bulkley Plutonic Suite is known to host numerous copper-moly occurrences and deposits. The regional geochemistry suggests the possibility that the west side of the valley and the west side of the mountain, previously not examined, has greater potential for high grade Moly. The known showing area has a surprisingly low Mo and Cu stream sample response in comparison to the western claim area (see map, below). Exposed granodiorite has returned values of up to 0.05% Mo and 0.22 % Cu, although the average is generally lower. A felsic dyke is associated with a high-grade (.07% to 2.7% Mo) molybdenite in quartz vein occurrence immediately east of the claim. Similar mineralization, or disseminated porphyry-type Moly in un-mapped felsic intrusives is postulated to be hosted within the hornfelsed Jurassic Bowser sediments to the west of the mapped intrusive. Glacier cover has likely receded in the higher areas of the claims in the last 30 years, which may have uncovered previously hidden mineralization.
