Opal5

The Opal5 claim is located 20 km west of Burns Lake, BC. The Opal5 claim consists of 6 MTO cells that are partly encumbered by the surrounding claims, and is on strike and contiguous with the “Firestorm” precious opal mineral claims group under option to Cantec Ventures. The claims are surrounded to the north, east, and west by claims held by Angel Jade Mines. The 1st vertical derivative magnetic map below shows clearly the magnetic response of the opal hosting volcanic rocks in relation to later Tertiary sediments and faulting, and that the prospective geology is continuous through the claim area. Precious opals to 92 carats, valued at up to $15,000, have been recovered from the “Firestorm” Group.
