Meet Renee Robertson! Renee heads up the Careers Section of the InfoMine website, and has been involved in the Human Resources field for many years, prior to her advent to InfoMine. Renee understands the psyche of both job hunters and Employers. Renee is also responsible for Subscriptions and the Customer Service aspect of the InfoMine website. In other words - if you are not happy about something - just bug her!

Renee has a B Com degree and is also a trained teacher. However, she feels that her four children are her greatest achievement. She is into all kinds of hobbies and crafts, from dog breeding (Labradors only!) and knitting, to pottery painting and card making. She enjoys traveling - but please - only to sunny destinations.

EduMine and EduExplora

EduMine is pleased to announce an agreement with EduExplora of Santiago, Chile to collaborate on expanding and promoting delivery of courses in both English and Spanish languages to the international mining community. EduExplora is the largest provider of e-learning for the Spanish mining sector and currently provides e-learning solutions and programs to mining companies in Chile, Peru and Argentina.

New Course Selection Tool

The new Summary of Courses is a spreadsheet-like tool that allows sorting and reporting of EduMine courses by relevant parameters, e.g. title, author, application, audience, length, certification details, etc.

This assists viewers to focus rapidly on courses that meet their learning objectives, and it links directly to the courses themselves. The Summary of courses also emphasizes the breadth and depth of EduMine's course offerings ... currently 49 courses on a wide variety of mining and geoscience topics, representing a total of 745 professional development hours.

We are always looking for ways to better serve both our subscribers and advertisers, and to deliver an excellent service to all our clients. With the optimism in the metals market we are seeing a significant increase in the number of employment opportunities available and we have been able to increase our overall postings by approximately 25%.

We are also very close to launching a new subsciption option, which we are currently calling "Careers Only". As the name implies, we will have a less expensive subscription option for job seekers who come to the site only to look at / for jobs. Careers will still be available with all existing subscription levels. Please watch our Careers page for the announcement of this new option.
