If you know the mining industry you will be no stranger to Mineweb, the most influential mining new investment editorial site in cyberspace. Mineweb has a suite of editors around the world responding to and reporting on mining news as it happens, particularly that concerning investment.
What Mineweb reports on, InfoMine has the background data on. Therefore, it was only a matter of time before the two organizations recognized what each could do for the other. This has now happened: Mineweb and InfoMine are joining forces to offer fully integrated content comprising the latest mining editorials and related background facts and figures.
Mineweb users will see their much admired and timely articles augmented with in-built links to facts and figures supplied by InfoMine. Meawhile, InfoMine users will see their news and company & property reports enhanced by timely Mineweb editorials. The winners in this joint venture will be you, our readers, who will now get increased coverage and improved service.
Keep an eye open for these changes to be implemented on both InfoMine and Mineweb during the coming weeks.
Following the online delivery of the first edition of MINING.com magazine in January 2008, we are pleased to announce the launch of the second edition in both online and hard copy formats of our new quarterly magazine focusing on mining information.
The second edition focuses on "green" issues with articles on the equator principles, gaining a social license to mine, the impact of metals on ecosystems and health and that controversially necessary commodity, uranium. While users worldwide can read the second edition online, it is also being mailed to over 10,000 readers in North America. In due course, we anticipate worldwide hard copy distribution.
Each edition of MINING.com magazine will be supplemented by a wall map relevant to the focus of the issue. Accompanying the second edition is a map of major producing mines in Canada.
MINING.com magazine is unique in the way it presents its stories in a format optimizing the use of hard copy and the web. We believe we have achieved the "best of both worlds" for you, our readers. Register to see if you qualify for a complimentary subscription now.
SupplyMine is pleased to announce a new and exciting way to search for your supplier needs. In addition to our well known Suppliers
search, Product search and Catalog search, we now have what we call a browse pad. Using our new browse pad, suppliers can be searched
by five groups, Consulting Services, Equipment & Supplies, Support Services, Contracting,
Supplies & Consumables. Under each group are 6-12 categories, which can be clicked on and browsed. Each category can be narrowed further by either region or country. At anytime during a browse search, the results can be further refined by keyword
or phrase. These keywords target the supplier’s product or services list, so we encourage all suppliers to review their listing
and make sure we have the keywords that describe your products or services. To do this, use our Suppliers search to find your listing
and send any electronic catalogs and/or product lists to the SupplyMine administrator.
There are three new SME books in the InfoMine eStore:
In addition to a number of SME publications, the eStore also has books on metallurgy, PDF papers and CDs on the use of cyanide in mining, and several DVDs on a number of different mining topics.
Browsing Tools on Property Exchange
A new time-saving tool has been introduced on the Property Exchange browse pad which allows properties to be browsed by Exploration Status. Whether you are looking for advanced projects or largely unexplored targets, you can now readily distinguish between four levels of development to find exactly what you are looking for.
Other tools recently introduced to the Property Exchange include icons that indicate newly added or updated properties so you can stay up to date on what's new. To check out the these features, visit the Property Exchange Homepage.
