InfoMine - Mining Intelligence & Technology
Connecting Mining Suppliers and Buyers Worldwide

Why the Internet?

Of all the media advertising and promotional channels available to you, the internet is the only one growing. All the others are shrinking and losing market share to the internet. And the reason is THE INTERNET IS THE ONLY MEDIA THAT IS FULLY MEASURABLE.

Whatever you do by email or on the web, it can all be measured:

  • You know precisely how many people receive your email or see your web page
  • You know precisely how many of these recipients react to your message (by an online action: opening an email, clicking on an ad, completing a form).

With the internet you can target your market much more accurately and make every interaction with your prospective client count.

Don't be fooled by old-hat words like "circulation" and "readership" common in the hard copy world. Get an accurate measure of ROI by advertising on the internet.

Market Share

The best way to measure market share on the internet is by relative popularity - i.e. comparing InfoMine with other competing sites which you may be considering. We recommend the following two methods:
  1. Link Popularity. As defined by Webopedia, link popularity is the term used to describe the value of a Web site, where the measurement is based on the quantity of quality inbound links (also called backlinks) to your pages. Many search engines, including Google use link popularity in its algorithm when determining where your Web site is listed in its search engine results page. Go to your favorite search engine and see how many sites link to InfoMine - this is a clear measure of our popularity. Click on these links to view a list of sites that link to InfoMine: from Google; from Yahoo. These search engines indicate that close to 535,000 incoming links to InfoMine - this is close to sixteen times more than our closest competitor.

  2. Google Ad Planner. As with Alexa, Ad Planner is another way to compare the performance and coverage of various websites. Google Ad Planner combines information from a variety of sources including anonymized, aggregated Google Toolbar data from users who have opted in to enhanced features, publisher opt-in anonymous Google Analytics data, opt-in external consumer panel data, and other third-party market research. The data is aggregated over millions of users and powered by computer algorithms. In addition, Ad Planner only shows results for sites that receive a significant amount of traffic, and enforces minimum thresholds for inclusion in the tool. Check out InfoMine's Site Profile.
  3. Quantcast Quantcast engages all 220 million U.S. Internet users, providing detailed audience profiles for the advertising marketplace to learn more about what consumers are doing online. Here is InfoMine's site profile, which is decscribed as "125K+ U.S. monthly people. The site appeals to a more affluent, primarily male, more educated, skewing older following"
  4. Alexa.com. This site allows you to compare the performance and coverage of various websites. Alexa ranks InfoMine in the top 40,000 websites based on traffic. This is five time better than our nearest competitor. Please go there and compare InfoMine with the competition.
We know you'll be impressed by InfoMine's high ranking using any of these independent methods.

Testimonials

Just wanted to let you know that our six month trial advertising was certainly a great way for us to evaluate the site. In our short time with you, we have received a great number of enquiries and can directly relate three orders to InfoMine. A laboratory table to Sons of Gwalia Ltd, Wodgina Minesite, a laboratory table to the University of Innsbruck, Austria and a full size Wilfley table to a University in Mexico.

We have also seen an increase in our website traffic and our statistics show that InfoMine is our 3rd largest referrer of traffic to our site, behind Google and MSN, but ahead of Yahoo. A great effort. As you are aware, we have tried other sites but must say that InfoMine traffic seems more specific and targeted.

As a Premium Supplier on the InfoMine site, Mine Site Technologies (MST) has found it consistently brings more traffic to its web site than other supplier listing service they have tried. This increased traffic to its website has resulted in increased interest in its mining communications systems. MST also acknowledges the proactive manner in which InfoMine is looking to constantly improve their service to the mining industry and the suppliers listed with them. Premium advertising on the InfoMine site emphasizes a greater presence in the global mining community.

Thank you very much, the page does look great. The reach on your site appears to be quite extensive, and I was especially happy to learn that there are a number of visitors from other countries, as well. I agree that InfoMine is a good vehicle, which is in line with our current marketing strategy, and that our target market will be reached effectively through the site.
