The Benso project lies 25km east of Tarkwa, Ghana is expected to be a high grade mill feed for Wassa's carbon in leach processing plant.

Proven and Probable reserves: 55.2 million tonnes grading 2.34 grams per tonne (g/t) for contained gold of 4.15 million ounces

Construction of a 52 kilometer haulroad is expected in the third quarter of 2007 with completion by mid-2008. Competitive tenders for the haulroad construction and haulage have already been received. Pre-stripping and ore mining at Benso would commence in the second quarter of 2008 and the first ore would be hauled to Wassa for processing in the third quarter of 2008.
