The Fenix Project is located 170km north east of Guatemala City, Guatemala, near the northwest shore of Lake Izabal

A feasibility study completed in September of 2006 states that Skye Resouces intends to expand and refurbish existing plant and mine facilities that between 1977 and 1980 produced nickel matte.

Highlights of the study include: A 30-year mine life, commencing in 2009, producing a total of 1.3 billion pounds of nickel, from an annual average of 1.37 million tonnes of ore grading 1.63% nickel. Average annual production during the first 20 years after ramp up is 48.5 million lbs.

The capital cost is estimated to be US $754 million (+/-15%)
