The Kevista property is located 142km north, north east of Rovaniemi, Finland. Scandinavian Minerals foresees an open pit mining operation, mining approximately 4.5 million tons of ore per year, with production of nickel and copper concentrates containing 19 million pounds (7,893 tonnes) of nickel and 31 million pounds (12,882 tons) of copper per year.

Proven and probable reserves in the proposed open pit total 66.8 million tonnes to 400 m depth, giving a mine life of 15 years at an average strip ratio of 2.34:1

Outotec Oy will carry out detailed engineering work, including open pit modelling, and the design of the planned processing plant for the project.
