world location

The area covered by patented claims, unpatented claims and fee land totals approximately 15,000 acres (6,070 hectares), and is situated within the historic Helvetia Mining District and the Rosemont Mining District of Pima County, Arizona, U.S.A.
The Rosemont copper-molybdenum-silver deposit is a typical representative of the porphyry copper class of deposits therefore skarn mineralization is well represented.
In January 2009, the company released an updated August 2007 Bankable Feasibility Study.
The mine life based on current mineral reserves is 21 years, with cathode production commencing in Q4 2011 and concentrate production in Q1 2012.
Mining operations would be conducted as a conventional hard rock open pit operation.
The proposed Rosemont mine is expected to produce annually 221 million pounds of recovered copper, 4.7 million pounds of recovered molybdenum, 2.4 million ounces of recovered silver and approximately 15 thousand ounces of gold as a by-product credit over a 20 year-plus mine life.
Mill process includes crushing and conveying, grinding and classification, flotation and regrind, concentrate thickening, filtration and dewatering, tailings disposal and mill ancillary services.
The new construction includes a 75,000 tpd open pit mine and sulfide copper concentrator plant with a heap leach SX-EW plant for the treatment of oxide copper mineral reserve.
