world location

Ruby Creek is located 22 kilometers northeast of Atlin, British Columbia and 124 kilometers southeast of Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, is accessible from Atlin by 39 kilometers of road. The first 19 kilometers to Surprise Lake is a public road which is graded and in fair condition. The feasibility has been developed for a 20,000 tpd conventional mill process fed from an open pit mine, with a mine life of 21 years. Proven and probable mineable reserves 143.705 million tonnes, at 0.059% M.
Open pit mining will be initially performed using two front-end loaders and four two hundred tonne capacity end-dump haul trucks, plus support equipment. After grid electric power becomes available, a 26.5 m3 rope shovel and five two hundred tonne capacity end-dump haul trucks will be added to the mining equipment fleet. The rock will be drilled, blasted, loaded and hauled appropriately, with ore being sent to either the primary crusher or stockpile and waste directed to the appropriate dump
The front end of the process circuit comprises a SAG mill and ball mill designed to mill material for flotation. The flotation circuit includes rougher/scavenger and cleaner stages. To increase the degree of liberation and improve overall molybdenum recovery, two regrinding stages are included within the cleaning section. The final concentrate is thickened, filtered, dried, packaged and shipped offsite for roasting. Tailings will be impounded and water recycled into the process.
Initial capital cost is Can$ 434.4 M with an average operating cost of Can$ 11.25/tonne milled for the first five years and Can$ 8.05/tonne there after.
