Bulyanhulu Gold Mine, Ltd. is one of three operating gold mines and two advancing projects that make up Barrick Tanzania, part of the Barrick Gold Corporation.  It is Tanzania’s first large scale underground gold mining investment.  The world class operation utilizes state of the art underground mining and processing techniques.  Alongside the core business of producing gold, the mine focuses on safety and skills development of its employees and aims to be a responsible and respected corporate body.

Located in the Kahama District of the Shinyanga Region of Tanzania, the mine is found 56 kms south of Lake Victoria and 1000 kms northwest of Dar es Salaam.  The ore deposit at Bulyanhulu consists of reasonably continuous orebodies containing more than 10 million ounces of mineable reserves that will likely provide more than 25 years of mine life.  The orebody strike length is 5 km and extends to a depth of 2 km while the orebody width and geology necessitates the need for multiple mining methods.
